• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

610 aftermarket gas cap

That's really interesting. Mine definitely collects water, crap design (Husky, not the cap). I will try pulling the plug in the lower port.

I'm not sure if this cap will allow drainage or not, but it's sure worth a try!

It'll be a non-issue w/ the new cap. The reason for the concern about the drain port/tube is because, with the OEM cap/design, pooled water (in that depression) would enter the tank when the OEM cap was removed. With the new cap there isn't that concern as it's a bottle neck type of lid that the cap then screws onto - the opening into the tank is raised well above where pooled water would be.

This a great gas cap, made very well, works perfectly and yep, it does look cool too! Nab one for yourself for Christmas while Brandon still has 'em!

IM GLAD TO HEAR SUCH GREAT FEEDBACK ON THE CAPS. IT WAS A COOL PROJECT. I STILL HAVE 4 SETS LEFT.(2 RED, AND 2w/ RED BASE AND BLACK CAPS). IF THERE IS INTEREST IN ANOTHER RUN THAT CAN BE TALKED ABOUT. AGAIN THESE FIT THE 610 AS WELL AS THE 630. PM ME IF INTERESTED.....

Got mine. Hope to install today after I scan the thread for info on the drain plugs.
Nice work on the parts!

If anyone has one of these fillers I'd love to buy one before spending the time to make on. Thanks, Josh
No chance, you can see the last post before mine was from April 2014. I just posted mine to show there was another cheap and easy way to get rid of the OEM filler cap.

And ive drilled a drain hole in it since taking the pictures
