• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

610 Blinker Indicator On Dash Stopped Working

Rough Rider

Husqvarna
AA Class
The blinker light on the dash of my 610 stopped working. At first I thought all the flashers had stopped working, and assumed it was a fuse; it wasn't. I took everything apart and found one lose wire to the left front blinker, which I fixed. The blinkers are working but the dash light still does not work.

Does anybody have any ideas?

Is another thread somewhere on this - replaced indicator globe and dash light still not working? A fuse maybe?

Had that once before on my 450 te and they sorted it out while i was at Primrose cycles -- they did not tell me what the problem was but the electronic guy had it open and was soldering something on it --Could have been a dry joint led globe or something R350.00 while you wait was worth it than going back again with the cost of fuel nowdays --

Thanks Blazes, unfortunately Primrose is like 1600 k's from me. I will have to find somebody else here in Cape Town to have a look. I was going to leave it, but I soon realized that it is quite dangerous.

I would be happy if my turn signal light on the dash quit working, if I could finally get the turn signals to actually blink when I wanted them to. The things work, and then they don't. Then they work for awhile, and then they don't. Of course every time I try and trouble shoot them the darn things blink just fine. I have replaced the turn signal relay and thought that fixed it. But then last weekend they stopped working again. Screw it, I'm gonna be a rebel and never signal on this bike again.
