• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

hey guys i have a 06 SM610 i broke the rear rim almost in half on a dirt ride i need it up and running fast is there any rims that will fit off a more obundent bike to get my by for a wile tell i can order new warp 9s even a dirt set up would be nice i know my front brake caliper wont fit but any options i hurd some CRF 450 rims and brakes will fit

I put a 5" KTM BEHR rear rim on my hub, much better than the OEM 4 1/2" rim
Aslong as the rim has the same number of spoke holes as the hub and is 17" then it should fit, so take your pick

You also have to check the direction of the holes themselves, aka lace pattern, there are 2 types: "european" (which husky uses) and "japanese" (japanese bikes and some european bikes, including some KTMs). 690 smc rim should fit, 625/640/660 won't.
Warp9 won't fit as they sell only rims with japanese lace pattern.

Heres mine-

thanks guys yeah i will put warp 9s on it just need to get my bike up and running tell i can affored them thats good to know about the rims at warp i was going to get a uneversal rim they have

Ouch, that looks like a Japanese rim on a European hub. You can see it because the spokes are slightly bent to reach the holes. Spokes are more likely to break, especially during acceleration.

You must have better eyes than me to see any difference

No, I was actually wrong. Sorry! It's easy to mix the two because the difference is so subtle. Really really sorry...
