    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

77 WR250 back from the dead

OK so I lost one of my Girling bushings after painting the shocks.
Anyone have a spare or know a resourse?

That would be great. I called them and they don't have anything with the correct dimensions but the rep did say they make hundreds of parts.
 
I used a fine wire wheel and some Mothers polish. Good enough for the new tires. This is how it will be until I redo the spokes.
 
Does anyone know the original 77 WR rear sprocket tooth count?
The one I have is 52 but I need a new one.
 
What's this screw for on the rear brake plate?
It doesn't hold anything and the inside is empty.

Are VDO hub assemblies serviceable?
I got a replacement unit but I'd like to use my old housing.
Looks like the end is staked but how is the center kept together?
 
To polish tarnished rims simi chrome polish will work.

$2k is nothing I see these selling for $3,500+ but it's the pleasure we get on that first start up and ride. You can't smack the smile off my face. I had a '77 250wr with ice screws in the tires. She was my snow and ice ride. Sweet bike.

That cycle world on Husqvarna magazine that HVA offers has reviews from 77 to 84. It a evolution bible.
