• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

81 Cr250 And 82 Axc420

Just before going away for easter, i got my frame and swingarm and various other bits and pieces back from the powder coaters!!
I'm very happy with the results

It's hard to get a good photo to show the true colour of the frame, but it's very close to the original colour.

that 78 250 looks like its only got 20 hours on it! its still got the original girling gas rear shocks on although they are the wrong way up. original throttle as well ! what else ....well the fork boots are non std .. same as the non drilled rear sprocket, missing the air box cover 250 sticker and the kill button looks non std..... i think the uk seats had the lines on the seat cover rather than just plain.....and thats it...they are out there!

you will have to send an email to yourself to decide which one to ride! Thats six now (who's counting...)

it is a bit of a dilemma trying to decide which one to ride, but what a problem to have!!

When i get around to it i'll post up a pic of my husky fleet!

So i've been a bit slack with keeping up to date with whats going on with my 81 CR250.
At the moment the engine is totally apart and sometime in the past it has eaten a big end bearing or something as the piston top was pretty badly damaged and the barrel needs to be bored to remove the marks in it. i dont have a pic of the barrell or piston but it's on it's last bore and a NOS rod kit and piston kit is on the way from Phillip at Husqvarna parts.
While the engine is apart i will get everything painted.
Yesterday i received a stainless steel bolt kit from www.stainlesscycle.com so that will be used when the engine goes back together.
Last weekend i took a heap of stuff to VMX recreations in Bendigo here in Victoria about a 4hr round trip.
They will be re building and painting a heap of stuff for me i took up the forks to be re built and painted, wheel set to be re built and painted, expansion chamber to be painted, triple clamp and front brake plate to be powder coated and three fuel tanks to be restored and painted.
I can't wait to see the results as the bikes in his shop that he has restored are incredible!!

But look what turned up today****************************************!

I can't wait to put these on the bike and see what they feel like, when the forks are matched to these shocks i won't have to worry about jumping this bike as the landing will be pretty good!!
