Just installed the HPI ignition on my 82 HuskyXC430 and I am using my dial indicator that is calibrated for 0-1'' at .001" graduations. Is there an ideal setting for easier starting? I am currently at (as close I can tell because it is so hard to read behind flywheel) , at .086". I believe this is as close as to 2.2mm that I can get. It was suggested to run it up to .090" -.095" for easier starting...just want to check with the group to see if their are any proven specs. By the way ,it is the HPI PD40351 ignition kit W/ their regulator, non resistor B8ES plug and I am using the NGK LB01E, 1 ohm, resistor cap instead of the lawn mower spark plug cap that was provided.
