  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc 99 Cr250

all the green stuff is finished and they are going to run the black parts through tommorow so yay

I got the tripple clamps cleaned up and most of the parts are here, I just need to find a chain guide nylon part for the rear one and the whole front chain idler for the bottom half 800072873 is the part number but i may just make one. I ordered the oil seal set from Ebay and got screwed they sent a honda cr 250 oil seal set so i went through and ordered every seal individualy and wheeew im broke after that.

Also lol I took the 125 like a hour away to ride it and the plug fouled out instantly. when i tilted it to drain it almost all the crankcase oil came out, so made the 4 hour round trip for nothing.

I guess the guy i got it from thought rtv was a good oil seal. I got a new one coming. Also I put a 38mm pwk Airstriker on it since I cannot for the life of me find a affordable supply of tmx tuning parts. I went 55/180 on the jets with a 99 honda CR250 needle and it ran wayyyyy better and smokes way less. I ordered the only kickstarter I could find in 3000 mile radius from me and it got lost in the post. yay.

well making some progress, need to get the right size bar mount for my handle bars and still waiting on rear fender, oil seals for side cases, chaingaurd and i need to find a new throttle cable the end fell off of mine at some point but the new clutch showed up so heres hoping all the seals show up soon

The Mikuni carb is a pain in the rear to jet and get to idle. i just put a keihin pwk air striker and no more problems

ive fitted a short body keihin 38mm pwk air striker. 55pj ddj needle and 182 mj. This jetting works for us in our riding area in the uk
