• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

A day in the life of: www.hva-factory.com

Happy to finish fourth after days of drama which included smashing the oil filler on a test on day 3. This meant riding for 1 and a half hours with no gear oil until I blagged some from a fuel station en route.**************************************** I stuffed a rag in the filler hole til I got to the next check where the top of a fuel can turned out to be the same size! Managed 2nd in the final Moto to get me back up to fourth.

Andy.. I heard a wild story that you may have been unable to pay for the oil..??

Yes! I had no Aussie Dollars in my bumbag, so had to persuade the lady that my credit was good!!! We did go back and pay her at the end of the day to restore her faith in motorcyclists though....

It is things like this that make adventures more memorable****************************************

Cant wait to get home on the 15th to 8 degrees C and rain.

Andy.

You should hang around till end of July Andy, the famous Harrow 2 day vinduro (10 year anniversary) is on

I drove past your shop last week Andy but was late for the flight out of Ext so couldnt stop for a yarn:cry:

Thats what really pissed me off, i was looking forward to a room temperature "old southern whale " ale:D Actually suprised me how much i got to like warm beer? unheard of in aus! I spent too much time in the Kent caves near Torquay, pretty interesting place.

20180502_121206.jpg got a bit relaxed about everything after a narrowboat cruze to Llangollin...lost a lot of urgency to do stuff and just floated about looking at stuff

great event, i had heikki Mikkola sign the sidecover of the 510 two years ago there and Broc Glover was also present.
