• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

ABOUT TERRA650. one of the best news article

Great article, but it was almost too generous. In the video they spent from 2:15 to 4:10 just taking the air filter out, because of the awkwardly placed mounting screws.

A slightly longer extension would have made life easier for him, as would a power driver of some kind.....got em in the "Old Guys Garage"!!!

Fab and I both removed and replaced our air filters while at a campground and had minimal problems. I think there was just one screw out of the eight on two bikes that was a bit difficult to get started. Otherwise, just a bit of fiddling and the filter and carrier was out and back in. We did this after out deep water crossing, where the engine was completely submerged. No water got into the air box.

A bit generous it is, but accesibility is another issue.. My only dude is : can we consider TR650 a 50/50 commute bike, not 60/40 like they have said in Cycle world.?

Coffee.
Most of people who loved trail bikes, to used as a commute bike, have been waiting more than 15 years to see a KLR650 60 ponies and lighter than it is.
I have Honda XR650L for also 13 years, waiting new XR650 water cooling and 62 bhp, but never arrived at Europe, so TR 650 is a breath of liberty, a new motorbike
all rounder, for those who just can have a bike for everything..
since 1982 i only ride trail bikes...
come to think in Europe every day it is more difficult to do gravel and tarmac paths, because LAWS pretends protect the mountains roads.
TR650 version Terra is going to be best seller as soon as the husky future were clear..
