• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Aces Suspension (Bottones) UPDATE

A Class
Should have my forks back from Harvey this week and out bashing this coming weekend. I can't wait!

edit: the BBT arrived today and I installed the rebuilt & revalved forks from Harvey @ Aces. Left everything set as-is and took a spin. HOLEY MOLEY, what a flaming POS the stock 45mm setup was! I knew it was bad but had forgot what a really great frontend actually felt like (why I don't ride new bikes). They work perfectly:applause:  and turnaround time was very quick.
I'll have a more comprehensive report after I change the rear spring tomorrow and shake everything down on Saturday but I'm a very happy camper. Should have done this when I first bought the bike, guess I'm a glutton for punishment.

cheers,

Mike

P.S. Harvey was telling me about a Senior A rider that used his TE610 in a harescramble, the rider that normally placed around 2nd ended up placing 4th or 5th in that race. Norm, was that you?

I put just over 150mi mixed riding this past weekend and I'm amazed at how well the forks work. Once I get the rear spring that Harvey recommended changed out I think the suspension will be about perfect :applause: I can't say enough good things about Ace/Bottone, great service and great work!

Must get mod!

If you think the TE forks are bad...you should try the SM!

Harvey lengthend and revalved my SM forks and they are very good now. They were hard as a rock stock....every bump made the front wheel bounce off the road.
