  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

That’s so cool nice to find someone else keeping these old huskies from the scrap yard, is it a genuine FBF? does it have the frame mods? Does it have a frame number on the headstock? Those factory 50mm marzocchi forks are good I have a couple of pairs, the Slechten pipe that’s rare I thought I was the only person who had one is it the cone pipe they were so cool it’s the pipe KP used to model the 2C pipes from, does it have the factory clutch assembly or is the OEM version with the splined basket and pinion pressed into it
Do you have a tubular titanium rear subframe
Be cool to see some photos
Those graphics are hard to one by I have loads of the 2001 team plastics and graphics but none of the 2002 although I do have a original 02 seat cover I also have a genuine FBF 125 frame thy came with triple clamps and forks and allegedly a race engine it is stamped on the side but I need to strip it down and check it’s legit really didn’t have any other parts with it though so I am hunting for stuff too really

I need find stock silencer to go with pipe that what they said the setup was for the team when using that pipe outdoors and the procircuit pipe silencer was for supercross. And they used the 2CS pipe also . The guy I got the parts from was a good friend with team owner and he owns a husky dealer still . He has Travis Preston sx Huston winning bike and a Lamson 250 . He said was husky got sold to bmw the bike was cagiva hq office and he got it from there .

They Stamp FBF in cylinder but also a C by the intake right by the cast t . I wonder what that would be for. It says 01-38-Cr on head stock

No I don’t I just went on to garage and notice the cylinder head has 50 engraved into it also . Wonder what that means? Looks like Conroe just says on it by looking throu intake zo cagiva

Does 01-38-CR mean anything on headstock . I’m trying find out more infor about this bike also

I’m going have to tear into the engine I guess and see what’s inside . What should I look out for ? All I know is the cylinder is stamped FBF and then the C stamp by intake
So the cylinder should have porting work done on it around the exhaust valve main exit and two side exits, the bottom of the transfer ports will have been ground and and cleaned up and the transfer ports in the bore will have been tidied up
may have had some work done to the exhaust valve itself re-shaped a little I ll take a few photos of the barrel I have that’s had the work done
Factory clutch assembly I ll show you one tomorrow
Factory crank as seen
Factory head there were a couple of variations a deep dish head for sand like lommel and mudder races and a shallow dish for everything else with some extra drilling’s in to help cooling again I ll take some pictures of the ones I have
That’s it I think

That’s interesting it could mean squish clearance it should be 1.25mm which is 0.050 inches
The team here used to run 4mm base gasket and 1.25mm squish for best performance
