• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Altrider crash bars preorder

I just ordered the black ones too. I hope a few orders from us will encourage them to get these out. Looking forward to really using this bike.

Just pulled the trigger on the black ones. Had an Altrider bash plate on my Tenere and fit and finish were superb. Thanks Harder1 for the pics and summary of your impressions.

I put my order in a few days ago for black Altrider crash bars. Hopefully transit time to Australia won't take too long when they start shipping them out.

Trigger Pulled on a Black set. Sounding like 4 weeks or so. I'm going to pick mine up at Altrider when they're done, so I'll post pics when that time comes.

Nev, my B&B plate only took 7 days from Oz, so hopefully things move just as fast going your way!

The price is now posted for the skid plate, too ($240.97), but no pictures. I say we send Harder over there to get some spy shots!

Peer pressure to go look at bitchin' moto farkles. I dont know if I can handle it!
Not sure what a farkle is, bits I guess, which I am over big time, cost me a fortune over the years, so now spend money on good oil, tyres and fuel and make what I need to travel on this beaut bike. Latest is a small block of English oak from an old block plane that hasn't had a blade in it for 35 yrs, screwed to the side stand to lengthen it, about 18 mm seems good.
When riding it is hard to spend money in the shop, any shop.

Just put in an order for the Altrider crahsbars and skid in black. 4-5 weeks seems to be the wait time. As soon as they arrive I shall post up some images.

I too have a set on order. I also got in on the skid plate. Looks like some very nice kit.
