• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

AMA National Hare&Hound Rd 7

Pro Class
Rd 7 was in Panaca Nevada which is 160 miles north east of Las Vegas around 4,500 feet high desert. There were 247 bikes on the line it was a real Hot, Dusty, Long 105 desert miles.
It paid regular National points plus some clubs from Idaho, Utha, Nevada and Calif paid local points so it had a big draw. There were 25 guys in my class alone 50 expert. There were only 8 of the 25 who even finished all 3 loops. I finished 5th in class which will lock up National #3 for 2016. With one throw away out of the 8 races, my points would not change if I were to do Rd 8. Which is put on by my club the 100s so it looks like I will be working the race. With that said Rd 8 will be the best one. Every one need to come race Rd 8 in So Calif
On a side note this was both a sad and happy day for me. Happy because I will run # 3 next year but sad because it looks like this is my last race on a Italian Husky. Since 2006 when I started racing the Italian Husky I have only 1 DNF but I have 2 National # 1 plates,3 # 2 plates and 2 # 3 plates all on Husky
Now I am looking forward to a new TE 300 and another long list of great finishes
