• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

And here's my TR650 Earth!

Megatiker.. SW rack is OK but is still fixed on polimero, because OEM Rack is plastic, so you still hand bike on plastic, this is the problem. OEM rear rack is easy to break
you will see. I have not done dirt with top case in, and rear rack is vibing, was broken just holdind bike up, one hand on bars the other on OEm rear rack. Thats my experience so far.. I am looking for a solid rear rack (metal one)

have a look

The piece number 3 is of metal. So the trunk rests in part on polymer.

As you see the OEM rear rack exterior arms go on plastic yet, thats what i have to change. because it is butter. I broked mine just holding hand to put the bike up
from the floor. bike was felt down to the tarmac.
What i surprise most of Terra is the mileage.. WOW last full tank it makes me wonder.. 323km 11,5 liter. so the range is 14l 393km incredible!
Mine have 16000km yet.

Megatiker . I am looking the best metal rear rack system to change it. I see touratech and Sw motech, but they still use, as base the OEM platform, thats the problem.
NO one problem with metal racks in my XR 650L IN 100.000KM . All the problems with Terra OEM rack plastic.

It makes more sense when you compare the names of both TR650 versions.
Made in Italy so they've used the Italian word.
Terra = Earth/ground/terrain Strada = Street/road.

FYI, nev. The bike is still called the terra in Italy. It is just when megatiker puts his posts through a translater that it changes the word to earth.

EDIT: Sorry, nev. After reading your post again, it seems you probably already understood this.

the model in Italy is called TR650 TERRA. Indicates the use of off-road motorcycles most votes. The model TR650 STRADA, is more devoted to driving on the road. The word "EARTH" came out by the translator of google. I hope I have explained it right this time

Megatiker75 I do like it, and my advice to you is ...
Dear Sir, put it on a boat headed for San Diego,CA. I would like to take a closer look at it. I will send you funds from the Presidentes account, it will be more than enough to cover the shipping cost. Then you can keep the overage, and i will return the machine back to you.
