  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Any experiance with double map switch on TE 250/310?

No it won't- the 09-10 ecu software and wiring harness is totaly different and thats what makes the difference- you could get an 09 ecu- and it would open up the ability to adjust CO1, CO2, CO3... your wiring harnes would remaind the same and you would still not have the plug that the switch plugs into but if you swaped harnesses too or did some real schematic studying you may figure it out- but ulimately that would be over kill for what the switch is worth- BUT it would be a conciderable upgrade to be able to play with the CO's- But at that point if I had an 08- I'd just get the PCV... which has the ability to run different fuel maps- not the same as the "wet map" -sel2- but....... I've gone beyond the question at hand at this point...
you have a great knowledge ... but can you explain the issue of ... "But if I point at That Had an 08 - I'd just get the PCV ... Which has the Ability to run fuel Different maps-not the Same as the" wet map "- SEL2-but ".... can do something, if I can not instalr mapping in my te450 ... thanks for all information

I am not sure if anyone still reads/posts to this site but I just bought a 2011 TE 310 and would like to change the OEM display to an after market such as Vapor. It is my understanding that the Vapor display does not show the engine map selection. Any other ways I can accomplish this with an external LED or otherwise? I am not familiar with the wiring so would the switch still continue to function without the factory display? Someone suggested keeping the factory display and adding the Vapor next to it. Although possible it seems to defeat the purpose. Amy and all suggestions are appreciated.

Motosportz (pm that name) has some connections at Trail Tech I do believe, so he might be able to help you out.

and "I am not sure if anyone still reads/posts to this site" ;)

Thanks. I have spoken with both Trailtech and Motosportz. Trailtech says they do not support the dual map function and that is all they are willing to say. Motosportz seems clueless regarding the mapping. I think I will wait and let George Uptite deal with it when I take the bike there in a month or so. I may have to keep the OEM display and add the Vapor in addition. Hopefully a better solution will present itself by then.

Was told there isn´t one for the 630. I want one for winter months, to get the power down. Why wouldn´t one for a differen Husky work on the 630?

Will a dual map switch work on a '10 TE 250 without having dashboard ?
I don't have the lambda sensor but have the plug, I believe I'm in race mode. My ECU was added later since the VIN doesn't match the frame VIN.

How do I know if my ECU has two maps ?
If so, can I switch between maps without having a dashboard ?
