• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

so my stock gauges went out:banghead: so im thinking trail tech and at the same time going all out and getting new bar clamps for fat bars. so my question is how do i do this and yet still have a place for the stock headlight to ummmm lock on:confused:? you know the tabs that are on the stock gauge mount with the tabs coated in rubber. what should i do does anyone have pics?

I dunno what you are talking about with the headlight. But IMO if you really want a trick setup get the HDB handguards with the billet Trail Tech Dash/Protector.

on the stock gauge holder in the front are two posts that lock into the tabs that are located on the light shroud. and i want to know if i replace the gauge mount what do i do about holding on the light. give me a minute and ill post a pic of what im talking about.

so i just found out my camera is broke so no pics yet hopefully someone posts who knows what im talking about

I used a piece of flat Aluminium and bent it to the shape i wanted and covered it with adhesive kevlar look a like sticker. Mounted my indicators and light signals on with Green and Blue LED lights. This was on my XR 650R--Looked at my 610 TE Today and sure it will work as well.

If I am correct you have a SM610? If so call your Dealer or some like Halls and order a TE head light Bessel and rubber attachment brackets. Your SM head light (the light is self) will fit in the new plastic with some brass or rubber washers on each side to make up about 5/16" in width.

I changed out my fender to a TE also so I totally did away from the existing SM head light mount, if you keep your SM fender you might have to do a little trimming?

Note: You might look at a 2010 head light Bessel IMO they look trick but I am not sure they mount the same?
