  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Anyone ordered items from Motosportz??

OK, that was a little harsh. We sent the package, the tracking number works, it's just that they do not update international packages very well. Not sure exactly why. Info just says the date the package was sent and in process.

I didn't mean you Kelly, I meant USPS. I thought USPS has to give YOU a tracking number & you forward it to the recipient. If USPS is saying they haven't got the package, how could a number be generated?? See what I'm getting at?

Any time I've shipped anything, I drop off the package, they weight it, measure it, I pay the price, & I get a number. It's in their possession. Sorry if it sounded like I was blaming you.

In all the times I have gotten a tracking number for USPS, only once have I ever seen the route information updated. I have checked often to see "Billing Information Received" (or something like that) to come home and find the package on the front step.

I definitely have to vouch for Motosportz. We have bought several things from him and they have always been shipped timely and arrived in good condition. Additionally, he has taken the time to answer all of my questions via e-mail and on the phone. All he needs to do is start carrying SMR brake pads and I won't have to buy anything from anywhere else! :)

I personally think its a little tacky to bust somebody up on a thread (especially a sponsor) when you obviously haven't contacted the seller directly.

I would agree there. Once it has been verified that the merchandise is there and ready to ship, it gets shipped pronto.

Oh OK. With a biz account you do it all electronically and print it out and stick it on the box. They have the info for the package but not the package at that point. When i drop it off it gets a scan at the PO and then you see activity in the routing. Seems like domestic info is usually there (not as good as UPS but there) but with international it seems like it never gets posed after the first scan. I have spoke to them about this and they say upgrades are coming.

The tracking system that USPS uses is nothing like FEDEX or UPS. From my experience, it doesn't show any tracking until after (way after) you receive the item!

Yep, most of the time you get the tracking # before the PO even has the package then you get the package before any tracking info is posted.

Hey Kelly, I ordered a bash plate and rad guards last week and not sure how to check if you've posted them(no confirmation etc). however, If not, could you add in a driven shifter :D ping me the bill and I'll pay it asap if you still have my other stuff, if not, don't worry about it ! :)

Ouch! Motorsportz is a top drawer supplier!

Tracking usually consists of depot scanning, arrive in foreign customs, then released for foreign delivery. USPS doesn't track when Canada Post takes over.
For me, USPS to (Edmonton AB) takes approx 8 working days. Sometimes even 2 weeks.

I ordered from Kelly and the Motosportz team a week or so ago and had this shipped to me in OZ, package turned up yesterday
Great service and quick delivery I though

Bought a gear lever for my wr300 here in aust took a few weeks but i never thought it wasnt coming. Some people think its all gotta turn up yesterday these days im sure these blokes got a few things on, take a chill pill. When i get some xtra cash ill be ordering a dampener for sure.
