    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Appropriate tire to have on a Strada for sale?

I've got my Strada for sale, have had it on and off craiglist etc. but zero interest down to $5199. Probably not the best time. It's pure stock except a high fender and K60's. I'm probably just going to sit on it until Feb/Mar when the early season buyers come out of hibernation. I'm wondering if the K60s are a detractor for the average Strada buyer? I had the original tourances until about 4k when I had my second flat on the rear. I decided then to go to K60s and have had them on for about 1800mi. I've kept the Tourance front and it has a lot of life left. I'm thinking the bike will sell better with Tourances than K60s. So, should I buy a new rear Tourance and mount the Tourances, selling the K60s, hopefully to cover the Tourance purchase, or should I keep the K60s? Leave the high fender, or put the bike back to completely stock?
 
I am probably not representative of your average buyer, but if you weren't on the opposite side of the country, I'd add your Strada to my garage right along with my Terra. K60 Scouts notwithstanding--those would be selling points to me!
 
I think it's all about the time of year. If you can afford to sit on it until March someone will buy it with those tires for close to $6k. For people like me the Scouts and fender are a bonus-- Despite the heavy alloys this thing handles well in the dirt with a decent tire. The bike sells itself if you can get them to test ride it. I was lukewarm on the Husky. Rode it back to back with a few BMWs and was sold. Keep the tires and don't spend another dime on it.
 
I would sugest you leave the bike "terraized" and put it on the ADVrider flea market, assuming you haven't put it on there allready.
 
I would say regrets come back to haunt you. Keep it if you can.

If not, lose the knobby. The knobby may scare some off because of hard dirt riding, even if you never took it off road. It also will affect the handling should they test drive.
 
To be fair I think that the Strada is not as nice looking as the Terra and personally would keep the high fender on. As with the tires, it would not make much difference but may be better with matching ones, also it is the wrong time of year to be selling bikes as most people will be thinking of money going to Xmas etc

Nope. You list your location as Portland OR, and today is November 6th 2013.

Call Bill's in Salem OR and see if he wanted to buy it? He has a massive flow of bikes in/out the door.

Or see if he will do a consignment, if he's not interested in buying it. That way you don't have mess with posting CL every week
