• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Asch Pipe

Husq.fleet

Husqvarna
AA Class
I found this on E-Bay, not mine and do not have any connection to it. Its listed being for a 500, no year specified, but has the 82 and older rear mounting tab. Pretty sure its a Asch by the seams and mounting tabs comparing it to my Asch pipes. Looks like it has had some "work" on the headpipe but probably repairable, just metal. $99 buy it now gamble. I'd buy it but I'm in "conserve mode" . Number is 220493888933

I suppose we could have a special section about stuff for sale on ebay. Don't really know the rules about what is interfering with a sale and what isn't. As if they enforce the rules over there anyway.

My air cooled 500 pipes have an (?eight inch or so) straight section horizontally low in front of the engine and behind the tire. The others 420, 430, 360 ???unknown ones are like the one picured one in the listing a candy cane like curve. In my estimation that price is getting kind of too much of the percentage of a parts bike and too close to what you folks here seem to be able to get custom pipes for to bother with. Perhaps asch pipes have some special value over the stock ones. I have heard a modern silencer helps and might be a better place to spend the $.
