• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Auroux Vintage Enduro - France August 24/25th 2013

Wow that was fun!!!

I went as fast as I could, but there are some very talented riders and well done to everyone who finished. What a fantastic 50 mile track and the test was also really good. 4 of the six Brits finished with 3 on Huskys. Bad luck to Nigel on the 510 who smashed the clutch cover and gear lever and to Julian who hurt his knee. I will try to find some more pictures when I have had a chance to catch up with work. Thanks for the pictures (visiteur)

Kind Regards,

Andy Elliott.

Previous picture - Phillippe Vellas tries out the spare WR300 (he is still plenty good enough to beat me on his Can-am though!!!)

We do like to enjoy the 'Repas' (Evening meal and social occasion) and like to try out other people motorcycles too****************************************P1000938.JPGP1000944.JPG

Thanks to everyone who helped make it possible for us to ride in Auroux. We hope to be back next year with some more riders!!!

Regards

Andy.

Are these made with serigraphy or made by warming a colour sheet with iron on Tshirt ?
A cartoonist made the picture and I printed several Tshirts ( 20 or 30, don't remember)
for friends sold just the price of the tshirt+ colours. No gain.
But the serigraphy is a little too thick.
But no problem you can print it for private use.

Can you choose in UK the number for road papers ( A 300 HVA) ?
Michel

Hi Michel.

Thanks for that!

The Tee shirts with the blue / yellow stripe we are going to do will be screen printed instead.

Yes, in the UK you can request numbers that have not been issued to go into an Auction and bid to buy them.
