  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Auto clutch Questions te 310 2010

Hi Chaps.. been thinking about this...
firstly is one available for my bike, needs to be a easy install if so..

how does it work what feeling does it give. please chip in if i understand it incorrect.
it works like the rev and go on my kids quad?
bike on tickover clutch is spinning. give the throttle beans the clutch bites and off you go, chop throttle when changing up or down gears. i assume that the bite point can be set? for preference

advantages i see are that no clutch lever work required, less tiring on enduro.

also what happens to large amounts of engine braking these bikes have? it would be ace if it got rid of this...

what is the brand to have?

thanks

AJ

I asked the same question, just got my 2010 310.

EFM will take your stock one, plus your cover and screws and mod it. Tales about a week EFM quoted me. They are in the US. Like you said, twist and go. You can over ride with the lever but the feel is zero at low rpm's and more lever feel as the rpm's climb, assuming you would ever use the lever in the first place.

675.00 US or so......

I was warned though, DO NOT USE THE LEVER WHEN THE MOTOR IS NOT RUNNING.

Not sure if Rekluse does anything for it or not. I have a email in to them to see. I have used a Z Start Pro, so familiar with that.

If you can change a clutch basket and read, you can install. Pretty easy.

I'm not sure it's the same, but I think it is... I just talked to the Revloc guy today and he thinks he is close to finishing the Dyna Ring for a 2010 TXC 250 (my bike). I have run the Rekluse pro in my KTM's and Honda and they've worked great! I really like the info I've read about the Dyna Ring and want to try that this time.

I believe Rekluse makes the pro and maybe the EXP for the TE250/TC250 which my dealer is telling me is the same clutch as my bike in the 2010 models including the 310. I would still get the confirmation from your dealer or Rekluse or Revloc themselves since there seems to be conflicint information on whether the clutches are the same in the 250/310 models for 2010.

Ok great info guys.. im thinking i want to try one.. i will start investigating which one and where from.. if i have to order it from the states then i need to know its going to fit straight up..
if any one has one fitted to there bike either the old up to 2009 te 250 or 310 up to 2010 please comment on which one you have, ease of fitting and useage.. im assuming the clutch items are the same for the mentioned bikes as the 310 is just a big bore 250 right?

Thanks
Andy

According to Kelly @ Motosportz, the Rekluse does not fit the 310. I got my reply from him last night. Revloc is close to getting the Dyna ring done he said. I think I might try the Revloc Dyna ring. I like that you can bump start and have total override like a Z Start Pro. I am gonna call them today. If we get a bunch of 310 folks calling, that might help them keep it going.

I just talked to Alan at Revloc, see my other post about the offer he made to borrow a bike and you get a free one
http://www.cafehusky.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15254

The real issue Alan is having is the steel plates. He has to modify the stock steels for the Dyna ring. Can someone confirm if the clutch in the 2010 Husqvarna TE310 is the same as any other model/year? If that were the case, then it will be easier to source the steel plates to mod for the 310 Dyna ring set up.

I am very excited about this, I like the concept of the Dyna ring. I wish I lived near Denver, my bike would be there tomorrow!

I hope my enthusiasm is not construed as a sales pitch. I am not related to Alan or have any part of this effort other than a guy like everyone else who wants this part for my 310! The faster I help him, the sooner I can buy mine!

I am looking forward to purchasing the Dyna ring also. If I lived closer to Revloc I would gladly give my bike to test. I called him today and he says all he needs is a test bike and the product will be done soon after that.

ok, if i could know routhly a budget cost, i could then decide if i wish to put a pre order in..

The 2010 TE 310 should have the same clutch assy. as the 09 & older 250/310 bikes.

Update from Alan, got this yesterday.

HI Bill.

Thanks for your help. I have found a supplier for the steels so the clutch will be available soon.

Thanks again.

Best regards
Alan
