    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

I've been stalking this forum for a while but this is my first post so be gentle

I ordered one of the last remaining Terras in Australia and after reading these pages had several accessories fitted, including a B&B radiator guard. When the bike was delivered I noticed that the handlebars could not be turned full lock in either direction because the forks were touching on the rad guard. The guard protruded about 2cm out from the radiator. This affected the steering lock - it could not be locked.

I contacted the good people at B&B and within 3 days had a new, modified one at my door and they told me to keep the old one. So now I have a spare radiator guard going free to anyone who is able to do a simple mod and who is able to collect it. It is quite a robust guard, about 3mm thick aluminium

The accessories also saved a fair amount of potential damage - I took the Terra for its first dirt track ride last week, when it was only 5 days old, and promptly came off :( The Altrider crash bar really proved it's value, taking a few scrapes while saving the radiator

Welcome to the club mongrel. TR's appear to be a rare breed here in Oz as I've never spotted another in my travels. Good to see you're keeping it well protected.

Yeah mustn't be too many Terras around here but I did think the offer of a free rad guard would be enticing enough to bring people out of the woodwork. Ah well, it will make a nice shelf to sit my beer on when I'm in the shed

Ouch, just 5 days old and first tumble. I have a Strada and dropped it on the driveway on day one - sidestand flicked up as I leaned it over and it took me by surprise. an hour later and my first mod was complete to stop that ever happening again. I have had the Strada off-road in it's stock form (with road tyres) and am very impressed at it's ability. I really need to add lots of protection before I break something and would be happy to take up your offer of the radiator guard. I'm in Brisbane but if you can wrap it or use one of those large express post envelopes, I'll pay for the postage.

RuggedExposure, I can only guess that the postage to US will be horrendous from here; I'm guessing over $50. If local guys don't want it I'll find out postage & let you know

If you still have no luck it giving it away, l am in Cairns Queensland and l would not say no. I only just got my Strada a couple of weeks back and already have damage to the rad. Damn them dirt roads :)

Hey Moff, in addition to the rad guard which protects the core from stones, twigs, etc get yourself some crash bars if you lay your bike over. What damage did you do to the radiator; is it repairable?
I installed a R&G racing rad guard from the UK and it's been quite effective for its price.
 
I throught you would have had no problems getting it gone, l am looking at making one that will provide protection to the undersi7of the rad.
Nothing major on the damage, luckily.
