Don,t say that I was looking forward to meeting the man behind the forum.
As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!

I have a couple questions:
1. How much slab riding will there be? Three years ago(?), I rode from San Felipe to Puertecitos and as I remember it was "paved" most/all the way. From there, it was dirt heading South. Maybe I'm not remembering correctly.
2. Is anyone going from Phoenix that would want to carpool? I live in Prescott, have a truck, trailer, and don't want to drive alone all the way to San Felipe.
Thanks

It's one of those things that just came up, I'll try my best to get there! I do not do these types of things willy nilly.

Really, if there is an order that needs to be placed, I am open for BEEF, not a deal breaker, but prefered or both.
How about a pool of who needs a ride and who has room? I would hate to see alot of people driving solo. Takers?? Givers??
PALMER84ONE AKA Gary, Tacoma quad cab room for 3 bikes and gear. Or lone ranger who will or can be at Uptite Fri. morning....

Minimum will be 35 miles split in two sections. Yes it sucks, but its only 15-20 minutes, then alot of hours dirt, then 15-20 minutes again.
It is possible to take more pavement, if riders need to (tired, broken, in a hurry, whatever) and especially the 610 guys might choose to do so, but it will only be an option. Everyone is encouraged to take the dirt-610's as well.
We know all the trails, beach sections, options, etc. and so we can be flexible depending on 'how its going'
Most guys do think its mostly pavement from San Felipe to Bay of LA.
But its not.
Caravan:
You can meet us at the Mc Donalds in Calexico (the border) at 2pm on Friday and follow us down. I dont know of a safe place to park and leave your truck on the US side.I dont know of anyone coming from Arizona, but i could also be wrong about that?
Come join us********************************************************************************!!!
