  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc BEST PIPE FOR AN 07 WR144

Thanks. Hey which one did you get? Looks like they have two.
One is raw and one is plated. I'm cheap, so bought a raw one. That was in '06. Joe Chod and I were going to see if Rich will build a real 144/150 specific pipe, maybe this winter. Bikes are not a priority at Dynoport anymore, but Rich still builds a good pipe.

Cool maybe we can get him to make three I'd try one on my 08 CR144. Oh I would go with the plated. I'm kinda cheap myself but I gotta have a little bling. Thanks.

Norm the pipe is perfect for the 144 as is. I have one that is customized for my 09 144. Have him build a normal one then leave the stinger pipe off and rear bracket. He needs to give you the stinger pipe but 1"longer on the side towards pipe. I then mounted my pipe on the bike and fmf tcii on. That way you can trim and align the stinger pipe, before welding it on. Then mark where the bracket needs to go and weld it on. Bet I did it in 1/2 hour time. The pipe is the cats ass on my 144.

Good to know. Rich is only around the lake from me, so I can bring the bike over and he can fit up and weld the stinger. He did build a 144 pipe for Harvey Smith's (Bottone's former mechanic) '99 144 a few years ago. It had a slightly longer head pipe.

it seems to be the torque monster the way it is plus I gained some top end out of the 144. If he can't do it, send me the parts and I will fit it for you.

Norm,

You're bike is now a 144 and the Dynoport is a real torquer!

The top end is weak but the bottom and mid is like a 250...really!

I'll biring it to speedsville!

What carb an jetting are you running?

I have the TMX and run a 380 main......370 and 390 all seem to run weak on top.

I run 50/50 race gas or I get pinging....yes I did order a pmp gas head from EG.

John, The pipe was delivered yesterday and it is perfect. My son actually washed his bike last night so he could put the pipe on.
(Usually only happens on Thursday's before a race, lol)
Again, my thanks to you.

I spoke to Rich Daly tonight at the Big East Snow Show in Syracuse, NY, about '09 WR125/144 pipe. I'm bringing the bike over on Monday, so Rich can fit it up. I'm having him make one for me and one for Joe.... any other takers?

Norm,
Post your results after the ride.

We are getting one this winter for the 06 and dad is gonna try out the 250 one.

woah, that sounds great, i'd be interested but what sort of cost are we talking?

Norm who is Rich with and will it work on the 2008 CR144?

Dynoport.com.

The husky 125 2000-2002 fits to 2008. They are built good quality and hard to dent. This 125 pipe works excellent with 144. You will notice a big difference putting this pipe on with carb I sent. You'll get lil more bottom and some more up top.

As dartyppyt posted.... I'll add that Rich used to be a fairly big player in 2 stroke bike pipes, but the snow side of his business took off big time. He doesn't do any newer bike pipes, but will do any pipe that he had jigs for. The Husky 125 motor/ pipe has stayed pretty much the same, so he'll still make them. I had one on my '02 WR125 and Joe had one on his '04 CR125 and '07 WR125. The pipe fit '98-'02 and will work on '04-'08, but the stinger/silencer junction is moved and you'll have to do a slight mod.

I have my old 98-02 one but it will need some welding to fix the stinger end for a modern bike. It has the nickel plating. Offers plus postage takes it. Good pipe and beefy too...more than once thought it would make a good hand to hand asset!

Joe
