• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Best place to get 5x17 rear rim???

crashtd

Husqvarna
AA Class
I've got an SMR 511 and want to ditch the 4.25 rear wheel. Simplest solution seems to lace up a 5" rim to the stock hub. Any tips on who is selling them in the USA?

Im going back to the 4 1/2" rim from a 5" because of clearance issues with the chain guide block if i have to move the wheel back any further for chain tension adjustment

Try warp 9. 5 inch rim depending on tire will most likely rub. 4.5 was max for me with Michelin pilot powers

I'm in the same situation. 150/60 tires are getting near impossible to find now in the soft compounds required for supermoto. Both the Metzeler Racetec K1/K2 as well as the Pirelli Supercorsa SC1/TD tires in the 150/60 size have been discontinued.

I'm now forced to upgrade to a 5.0" rim despite the clearance issues when running a shortened chain adjuster.

Can anyone confirm if maybe the KTM 540/625/690 Behr wheels have the same hoop hole pattern and spoke angle as the hoop on our bikes so that maybe I can find a spare KTM wheel and de-lace the 5" hoop from it and re-lace it onto my Husky wheel. As far as I know, all Huskies (besides the unicorn SM450RR) came with the 4.25" rear wheel stock.
