    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

I can say it now that the article is posted I'm sure the author won't mind.
Chilly seemed a little disappointed with the bike at that first trail ride (Sawmill ride) we did with the LAMC group.
As he mentioned in the article he said it was slow and tight when new, it's great to hear that the machine has improved in all facets with some time on it. Thats also great for consumers that the blueprint is on the tight side so the logetivity is improved. This bike for my taste is visually striking, it's a Ferrari like Italian machine, its a beauty for sure.
 
Good to see he started liking it more as it broke in. I wondered about that first test as it sounded like chilly didn't care at all for the bike, but now it sounds like he quite likes it.
 
Beta suspension takes awhile to break in, probably at least ten hours, maybe more. I have a customer with a 520RR that has very smooth power and tons of it. It is surprisingly easy to ride and never tries to stretch your arms.
Engines that are slow to break in are probably also slow to wear out, and I have never heard anything bad about the Beta 4 stroke engine since it was introduced in 2010.
We have a 430RS on the way, hopefully the customer lets me try it out!
 
That part about the kill button and horn button being switched is my only major annoyance with Beta. I'm about to take my control system off since I don't use the horn or signals and replace it all with a standard kill button. I usually don't even bother using it and just hold the rear brake and let the clutch out.
