    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Well, George is real close on his tank solution. There is a thread over on the 4st forum and I don't know how much attention it got, so I thought I'd mention it here.
I talked to him this morning and there are just some plumbing details to finalize.
One of the neat things is he got IMS to put nutserts in, so the stock trim can be retained.

I'm guessing the cost will be substantial? (I know, you pay for what you get and it looks well done) Adaptable to other models?
 
I didn't ask him about cost today, but several weeks ago his estimate didn't seem "substantial'. Good question.
I am under the impression it could be used on all the FI bikes that use that style pump.

Maybe George will chime in.

On further looking at it it appears it is simply a solid box for the stock fuel pump to reside in. Nice.

Xcuvator, Your post is titled "big tank for the 610/630" Do you know that the ims tank will fit the new 630 and save the grafics peice? I am about to buy it and install the external fuel pump myself.
I won't put an ugly Safari on my new 630.

I should have said: 610/630, cuz I did know.

I like the idea of retaining the stock trim too.

George should be back from the trial run by now, so it shouldn't be much longer, unless major changes are in order.
 
Hi Been trying to contact Uptite by email through website But computer issues wont allow . Does anyone know email add. And any news on fuel pump housing . Cheers Hayden.

X-Q VTR: and all those looking on: I bought the IMS tank for the 630, It did not fit, but it was close. I bought a new plastic gas can with the heaviest similar plastic and practiced with a big heat gun to get the feel, and pressed in the areas which were obstructing the fit.
