    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

On top of that, selling these bikes may also help you develop products that you currently make for Husky that can be made for AJP. Thanks a lot. The importer and I ave already discussed hard parts extensively. I have kept this quiet but have literally been researching and talking with people 24/7 for the last 2 weeks. I know crap about these bikes I dont even know about huskies. Have read all the service bulletins about the EFI on the PR5 which is beautifully detailed and explained unlike many companies where you can't even find the info. The level of information and technical detail is stunning. These guys have been very inclusive of info and details. makes me feel very supported already. The importer and I speak exactly the same language and this could not be easier for me to do and understand. This is a big reason I feel comfortable going forward with this.

He said he had and absolute blast riding the AJP PR4. He also said the pics don't do the bikes justice and that they are extremely well built bikes. I look forward to reading ride reports on them. Still considering one myself.

Nice! I think these fill a nice market segment and I believe once people ride and understand them it is a bike many should be riding for trails that are really better than a full blown race bike that is to tall a handful.
 
I've been wondering for years when someone was going to produce a more affordable "in between" trail bike. Torquey 4st motor with quality suspension, brakes, frame, wheels, etc. Looks like these guys are on it. As a matter of fact I have queued up a project in my garage a DRZ125 that I am going to throw some KX100 suspension, wheels, brakes, etc, on.

Congrats. I can tell you that I know several people who might be interested. There is an under-served market for something cheaper and/or with a lower seat height. A wife's type bike if you will. I think this could be a great thing.

I think in all reality it they will be ideal bikes for a lot of trail riders. Most of us ride tall bikes with hard to control power. A robust, simple, low, great handling high spec trail bike will many times be a more ideal mount for a lot of riding situations. Lowered bikes rail corners, allow you to put feet down and add a lot of confidence. Ride buddy of mine has a lowered YZ125 and it is awesome and the low seat height really makes a difference especially in technical hilly stuff. I was on board with this thinking years ago and when I worked at Fastway we designed and were looking for financing to build much the same thing thinking this market we there. This kinda came full circle and found me. I did not need talked into the idea, I get it. Robert and I have dialog a few years ago about it and he even took it further.
 
Gobs of vid on youtube, lots from the UK where these bikes are pretty popular it seems. I think I already have my first allotment sold!!!

That vid shows some older models and 125's which are not coming here.
 
Really really awesome i totally am into this idea and market. Some people need the reality/ego check that full blown race 450s are actually making them slower riders, so many people think there 125/200/250 etc is holding them back and if only they had a cammed 450 they could have made that oobstacle and be soooo much faster.

For those of us who know better these bikes are a god send. Wasnt this essentially what the ktm freerides were to be as well? Never saw or heard much of them since they were announced.

oh come on tink 19 its just a number like age besides you can fix it a little millin n grindin little borein n strokein an ECU tweak and bam AJP 300 40 HP :thumbsup: u no if its close enough to an XR 250 thumper racing has a 320 kit:banana:

Its not how much you got its how you use it. The PR5 has 27. I have embarrassed many more powerful bikes on my 165. In the tight technical woods you spend 80% of your time in the first 1/8th of the throttle. I think people are starting to understand the fun side of riding a simple easy to ride bike. Many find it really fun to do more with less. The PR4 should be nearly maintenance free. Imagine how long the 520 o-ring chain and sprockets is going to last on that. This is a different thing, its not about 65hp its about having fun on the trail. Its not for everyone, I get that.

I have a good friend who has ridden them and really likes them. There is a lot of hype around those bikes right now.
