• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Big announcement for me - AJP motorcycles

Some people need the reality/ego check that full blown race 450s are actually making them slower riders, so many people think there 125/200/250 etc is holding them back and if only they had a cammed 450 they could have made that oobstacle and be soooo much faster.

Good ride buddy of mine runs a track and trail system up here where they do the WORCS race. He has a pile of Yamaha's, mainly YZ250 and YZ450F's. He got a lowered YZ125 a while back. Setting up a race course he rode it hard to time the laps. Then he thought it would be fun to do laps on all the bikes. Guess what, he was fastest on the 125. And he said it was by far the easiest to go fast on and took far less energy. It takes the right kind of rider but small light low power bikes can boogie through the woods. Very fast buddy Jake smokes on his husky 125 and refuses to add a 165 kit.

oh come on tink 19 its just a number like age besides you can fix it a little millin n grindin little borein n strokein an ECU tweak and bam AJP 300 40 HP  u no if its close enough to an XR 250 thumper racing has a 320 kit:banana:
There's a really good chance we can get more than that out of the engine

Hey my first car (diesel rabbit 81 vintage) dynoed 25hp to the wheels. With GTI type aftermarket lowering progressive springs and good struts I could cream faster cars through the canyons and scare the piss outta my buddies.

I am an amateur rider for sure, but the fastest I have ever been is on my buddy's YZ125! Smaller displacement bikes are just awesome.

Back in the day I was faster on my buddy's Honda CR125 than I was on my CR250. 125 class was very competitive, I did better in placing on the 250.

BTW we're talking 70's Elsinore 125 and 250s. :D

Can't wait to ride one Kelly! If I like it as much as I think I will, then I'll be buying one ASAP. I think the only thing missing from the lineup is a modernized IT200 air cooled motor in the PR4. Can you imagine how light and nimble that would be??????????? Under190 pounds with an ultra-low center of gravity.....and a modern chassis****************************************!!! While we are at it I will take autolube please!

All I could think about yesterday, when I was scouting new trail on my wife's CRF100, was the PR4 and how cool it would be for that.

Screw it, I'm re-sleeving my IT 200! It's too good to sit waiting any longer and can't register an AJP here in northern communist Mexico.

Just ordered up a PR4 from Kelly , it looks like it is the "Poor mans Freeride" . The chassis specs are very similar. Cant wait to get it , should be fun.

Thanks you very much for the support Tim. I think these are going to be great bikes to the intended mission. Heck I was riding my usual high mountain gnarly trail on a YZ450 thinking a AJP would be a better tool for the job.

Not to mention the warranty , unheard of .

There is a dealer kit headed my way soon with consumables and plastic kit etc. so will have you covered on that stuff from the get go. Sounds like parts supply is a non issue. Already got a gob of great info I cant even get on newer bikes like all the EFI info for the PR5 with test points and complete end to end tech info on it. TPS resetting, ECU resetting, trouble shooting info, etc. Very nice. BTW all reports are the EFI is very good, no pop and stall and rough running. These AJP guys seem to have it very well sorted and really care about details and support. One of many reasons I signed on. These also have 520 o-ring chains and high quality sprocket that should last a really long time on a lower powered bike like this.
