  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I just got a quickshot3 from a fellow cafe'r and It didnt come with any instructions. I havent been able to find anything on the net as far as how to adjust it for a first time install. Can anyone help me out? I've never used one of these before.
Thanks

**oops** I should have posted this in the EFI/carb section. Coffee, feel free to move this to the proper section if you'd like

I got some from boyeson. I tuned as per the instructions, but its hard to tell whats changes when I adjust the QS# by itself unless i make a rather large change.. :excuseme:

Have you used one with good results? Maybe Im just not good at picking out subtle changes

I just got one and haven't got to mess with it yet, but I'm not surprised it takes a fair change to see much difference. Small leak jet changes are hard to notice, too.

I got it mainly because I felt like there was some inconstancy in the stock AP. The adjustable leak jet was just sort of a bonus.

I was just adjusting mine to stop the bog and ended up down at 3/8 open before it would stop. The recommended starting point of one turn was pretty close to the stock leak jet and the bog was the same. Once I got down around a 1/2 turn it started getting better.

That puts it pretty close to the 35 leak jet that was in it before they did the "update" kit, which took it to a 50.
