• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Brake Pad Replacement

Does anyone have front brake pad replacement info for a 2013 Terra?

I did some forum searches, particularly through the interchange thread, and didn't find anything.

Google search has results for ebay postings, but I couldn't find a part/replacement number.

Could be the same as a BMW 650GS Sertao. They're both a 300mm diameter rotor with a Brembo caliper so that's promising.

check KTM parts, legacy bikes for OEM....printed both full OEM list and the full wrkshp manual. Also check search under BMW OEM. I haven't checked but the brembo pads look very much like those used in my r1200r.

I know for a fact that our wheels/rotors fit on a Sertao. Here is a pic of my old Strada wheels mounted on my buddies' Sertao. I can't imagine the pads aren't identical.

Hey Rod, you should drop that bit of information into the interchangeable parts list thread. Thanks for posting this as I was beginning a search myself so I would have them on hand.

I finally had time to install the pads today. The Sertao pads are a perfect fit.

Thank you, everybody, for your replies.

Next project is to install a FatBar.

unless your dealer is no longer a husky dealer use the internet to buy your parts. Support your local dealer. You may spend a few more coins but where you going to buy your next new bike? If we dont support our dealers than what?

The dealers don't support us. Mine was BMW/Husqvarna when I bought my bike. They are now just BMW since the sale of Husky. They have completely washed their hands of my warranty and advised me to find another dealer. I think that is crap.

So Sorry to here that. My dealer is still doing great work for me on my Terra. Just broke a rear fender again and the dealer had it to me in about 10 working days. Oh and your dealer is crap for not being there for you. Shame on them.

I have to agree. Regardless if they are still a Husky dealer or not they should have been there when I needed them.

It's Gateway BMW in St. Louis. When I purchased there I was told by several inmates that they were a great dealer. I did get a smoking deal but when BMW sold Husky it was all over.
