• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

What I meant was if you are willing to ship the bike, crate, ect. I would pay for the shipping if I won.

So when and where can we buy?

I may be abe to limit it to Cafehusky.com only. I would be willing also to increase the number of tickets slightly, and reduce what I keep a bit to raise some funds for this site.
I will probably have to keep this site limited to US addresses only. I think an international raffle may be too complicated. That said, if your "other address" is in the USA, and you win the bike and plan to keep it in Canada (or mexico) We will help with all the documentation to get your bike home, or assist in the shipping in it that is even possible. You could always ride it in the US for a day and then claim it is a busted up used race bike.
There is no one at the DOJ (who regulates this in Oregon) until next week. I will know more then.
I have gotten a couple PM's on this. I will answer those in this thread for all to see.

I'm in.

that is spelled N-e-s-b-o-c-a-j

Keep it at $100 and have a consolation prize, 1:33 odds of getting something :applause:

Like I said, until I figure out the legality of this (monday) I can't just go ahead and do it. I think illegal lotteries come under racketering in I would be caught. So I will CMA on this one. Don't worry about selling out, if this works I made just start unloading bikes this way. There are at least 20 takers on a 1098R ticket for $1000.

OK that sounds a lot better.
Thanx Dave.

Hey you should have some kind of deal...1 for $100
Or maybe 5 for $499. Ya someone might bite on that one.

Anyway waiting to Monday.

"count me in, don't worry about shipping, i need a reason to get out of the snow and cold"

Where do you think Bend is? We have 10 inches in town, it was 14 yesterday and today it will be 38 and raining. I need to get out of the snow and cold. : )

I would do the $100 raffle thing if it was for a TE model 250-610. I'd have to fly in and ride it home (Texas) I have relatives in central California and would probably leave the bike with them for when I venture out west.
