• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Buying AvGas?

Like he just said AV Gas is designed for a air cooled motor at over 5,000 feet. It is also a very dry fuel and has a lot of anti freezing stuff in it
It does work much better in a 2 stroke then a 4 stroke because of the 2 stroke oil in it. It also works better when it is cold outside and hot summer days is not good for it

I have run F&L 110 leaded for about 30 years now. There are many places to purchase it. We even have a local gas station that sell it for 8.00 a gallon at the pump Or that them deliver you a 30 or 55 gallon drum

Yes I live in Calif In Coachella rthere are 2 gas stations close to me that sell at the pump Sunco at indio station and F&L at the mecca travel station

As for where you line in Auburn I have my sister lives there and my other sister and my mother live in Roseville We also just sold our cabin in Soda Springs so I know your area well Just drive down to rosevill get a 30 gallon drum at about 8 bucks a gallon and it will last for a year

30 gal drum isn't a bad idea. I'll definitely look into that.
