• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Cafe Husky Corporate offices have moved...

Awesome pics! Glad you moved out into some beautiful countryside and out of the rat race. Now get to work on that official Cafe Husky enduro course someone mentioned earlier. :D

Very nice. I have always wanted a office with a view....and a nice parking lot to go "on break" in with my motorcycle.

My only complaint about the new facility is that perpetual fog bank in the low lying area. It might look appealing but that is where I have to land the corporate jet.

Indeed there is some nice riding available... but the land needs a bit more clearing. The owner of the land says I can use his 61cc Husqvarna 2st (chainsaw) - but after cutting up a rather large downed Manzanita yesterday I can tell it might take a while. I've sent an open invite to Woodschick & co, perhaps they could suggest trail routes :)

Up at dawn, then collapse at dusk seems to be the schedule these days, and of course Christmas shopping needs to be done. Perhaps next week I can finally get online more.

Sweet, I look forward to hearing about the Cafe Husky Invitational Enduro. And if it's got a newb friendly course, I might even ride.

Looks like you have done very well Dean. If you were about 600 miles closer, I could really help you with your clearing.

I'll update this later... but I've got a lot of things to catch up on such as email that has accumulated for the last several weeks. I apologize for being out of contact, 2012 looks far better than 2011!
