• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Cheap Foot pegs?

Still waiting for pics! Oh, I'm supposed to post those - sorry, I was supposed to do that. :)

The only fitment issue was if the new pegs are completely kicked back/up they do contact the brake lever and move it downward slightly. Given my brief ride with them, on road only, I can't say if this will be an issue. If it is, it looks like a fairly simple fix by grinding a bit off the peg bracket.

By "perfect fit" I meant that they aligned correctly and that the pins fit the holes without issue.

I think that may be a feature.
If you are cornering so hard that you are folding the pegs back,......... it applies the brakes. :naughty:

BTW if anyone would like to try a set of BMW Adventure pegs I am going to sell the ones I got for $40 plus shipping.
The pins do fit, the angle looks correct, but something will have to be modified to fit.

Dang, no offense, but those look like the $8 ones I got. Can't you return them from where you bought em?

They are used pegs.
Yea they look like the $8 pegs, they look like the $100 pegs too and  cost $200 new from BMW.
They are stainless, appear to be decent quality and stout.

I offer them here for what I paid for them.
I can probably sell them for more to the BMW 1200GS crowd.

I got the gs pegs and mine fit our bikes. I had to trim the lug down some. I can take a pic when I get home.

Here are the left side OEM and Moose Hybrid pegs side by side and end to end. Did not weigh the Moose pegs but they are substantially more substantial.DSCF3231.JPGDSCF3234.JPG

Thanks for the pics Scott.
Those definitely have a rear offset.
More than my cheap ass wants to spend, but those are the ones I need.

Bumping re DRC pegs.... serious the cost that some ask ..Do they use these things at NASA???!!

Any trouble getting the moose pegs on the Terra?
