• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Check out this new Maxxis trials tire

Very cool! I have a MT43 sitting in the shop waiting for spring but this thing looks gooood:cheers:

I have ran those, good tires but bias ply and dont hook up like the radial trials tires like the Dunlop 803. Much more durable though and do well on the street.

Sorry, off topic but... Will your buddy be doing a ride report or anything? I'd be keen to know more info on riding in Taiwan and how to arrange bikes ect.

I could hook you up with him. He lives in Seattle WA but has a lot of family there and rides with a dealer who has a lot of KTM freerides and lots of cool looking riding.

I'm seeing tires over here with that tread pattern... These are some off-brand company and I might try one since the cost is so low ... It would be a small blessing for me if they hook-up.

Make sure it is radial (which is probably is not). Lots of crap bias ply trial "looking" tires out there which would be a waste of money on a dirtbike.

The golden tire looks good too but I googled it and couldn't find it here either... My gearsare spinning now I wonder if I could take my Pirelli MT 43 and remove some of the rows of lugs and create a similar pattern without ruining the tire. Probably not.

I have many time thought of removing every third row on a set up Dunlop 803s and see what happens.

Just saw a post from my buddy again, they got the new 250 2 stroke freeride in, looks nice. Pic shows the tires well. Like the spacing. Wonder if they are radial.

I've always been of the mind that all modern bikes are good, I'm not very brand specific, although I do love my Husky. I still own a Suzuki, Honda, Gasgas, as well as a Husqvarna.

I asked the same question earlier and all I got was a repost of the golden boy website. Looks like neither of them can be found online. So my guess is no they aren't .

surly someone on here in the UK could throw a set in the mail for a nominal fee? the nutech tuBliss tire should be out soon its sposta be kicka$$ Jeff said February

Cool thanks  .
I'll be sorting a 2014 mid-year getaway after xmas. Taiwan is only 2hrs time difference so no jetlag... could be a good getaway option.

try the Vee Rubber VRM300. Great tire. Its a regular knobby but has a trials like consitence. I love mine.

I having trouble thinking a hard terrain knobby is anything like a radial trails tire. I have tried a few Vee Rubber tires and IMHO they were junk. Not being rude just dont see the correlation.
