• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

clark tanks?

go with the 3.3 gal. the 2.2 too small except for moto 3.8 for desert. too big for North east if you ask me. size bareley noticeable on 2.2 to 3.3 in width. slightly higher as it goes to front and cap but still keeps the classic shape. have run out of gas on a 1 hr HS with 2.2 on 250 and 430.

I had the big desert tank on my '83/250wr. I figure on the longer rides on the trails in mass I was the refueler for the other bikes just in case. Between the pipeline and the forest trails we did three hour and a half loops and never hit the same trail twice. Mass is the Indy 500 riding of the northeast. If you guys live near mass you should try riding October mountain in Lee, mass. There's a camp ground to stay over night there too.

We rode the mass state forest and the pipeline in mass.

On the pipeline one must be aware that there is two trails up the hills one can be steeper over the other. Some had by passes going through the forest. The pipeline trails go as far as the eye can see.

The t dam is ok in the springtime till it gets crowded. Then we moved to riding in mass. I heard there's new rules in mass lately. In the winter we studded the tires and rode the pipeline in the snow.

I ordered a 3.3 black one directly from Clarke. They were a pleasure to deal with and it got here the next week although I live near Oregon. I did develop a small leak on the front seam, but some black 3M 5200 sealant looks like it staved it off. IMG_2566.jpg

That black tank is purdy.

I fixed a leak in a tractor plastic gas tank with a soldering iron. I carefully sealed up a crack. It's holding for five years now.
