• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Clutch Adjustment required?

Tazzierob

Husqvarna
AA Class
Hey guys.

Have put 266km on the Terra now, but I'm struggling to get the bike into Neutral whilst the bike is running. Might my clutch need a slight adjustment? Anyone else experienced this?

Cheers,

Rob

My TR650 the clutch lever is almost all the way out before it catches so my clutch is certainly disengaged when the lever is all the way in. A slight amount of trouble getting into neutral when bike is running, but it is easier to do that than the other 2 bikes in my garage right now.

Thanks guys, I'll give the shop a call too.

The clutch does engage quite early as well, like only a short distance off the handlebar

i am having the same problem, and when i change from 1st to 2nd it has a tendency to click into neutral (which is difficult when stationary) and makes a thudding sort of slipping noise, quite strange because i have never had this problem before and every gear above neutral does not have this problem and changes very smoothly. It is probably the only fault i have found with this bike so far, only have 250km on the odometer though... so hoping it does get better any insight into what is causing this would be great. also have had a problem with overheating when idling but i think thats due to air bubbles in the radiator.

I had the same issue. I rotated the shift lever 1 spline counter-clockwise and it made a world of difference. As Motosportz said, also check your chain. They seem to run much better with some slack.

What I did to solve was adjust the clutch cable at the lever. The adjustment was wound all the way out, so I tightened it up a bit. Haven't had any issues since. Now it has been in for the first service but the weather has been shite and my middle finger on my left hand is busted from a sporting injury
