• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Clutch Kit??

Husqvarna
AA Class
So I checked the interchange list for a clutch kit but didn't see anything listed. OEM part is $185 based on Hall's website. I don't need one per se but I was considering it before I go off on my 10k mile trip in a few weeks. I did some searching for the g650gs clutch but didn't see anything. Anybody know of a cheaper option than OEM?

Our clutch does cross reference with the BMW G650GS & G650X OEM, but they are $274.

I have seen note of some with those bikes supposedly using the EBC #CK5635 and CK5636 clutches for the late model F650GS singles, which are around $60.
I can't however find a good solid cross reference.
I would ask a question on the G650GS/Sertao threads over on ADV rider to be sure.

I read somewhere that a Rekluse Model will also fit the TR650, if you want to spend some serious $$ on an interesting but not really necessary clutch.

BMW went through 3 revisions of clutch through the GS/X models with reduction of 1 plate from the days of the single spark and then improvements of the thrust arrangements. Take care with the EBC as the final plate is different and I think you will find a small mod is needed

I have most of the info on the clutch variations on this page but if you find there are further differences with the Terra I can add the info

I'm still pondering the Rekluse for mine. If I had $1k floating around, I might do it.
