• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Cody Webb wins Tennessee Knockout

I've been following this thread hoping you guys or someone will get back on track post some fresh video footage of the Tennessee Knockout. Helmet cam footage anyone??
I think it might be a couple days or so before any video hits the net. I'm sure those involved are absolutely wore out and need a few days to recuperate. As the press release stated, they kept cutting sections out because they were too difficult or dangerous. I can't fathom where they got the strength and stamina for the final round.

perhaps these alternate machine posts (Beta TM Racing, Kawasaki, Sherco Hondaetc etc) should simply be in the Cafe Diner off topic discussions? We are all moto heads and all this info is interesting to alot of us despite the brand.

I think we are fine here in Racing as long as we actually talk about races and competition.

The machine might let you down, but it probably isnt going to cause you to win any particular race. Lots of quality hardware running and lots of quality riders. We cant talk racing without mentioning other brands and riders.

As for the press release.... I find it interesting that Cory was wishing for mud. I dont really think of the 310 as optimized for mud....but maybe Cory is? Ive only seen him ride once in person and it was not on mud with a 511 ...and he was very fast.

I am so confused.... I am excited about Beta's fine showing and Graffunder with a true Husky in third, and many KTM's entered, but none close to the podium. We can't talk about this but we can talk about 2014 Husqvarnas that are really KTM's.....

I would like to take some exception with this part. While Im sure it wasnt your intent, that statement will get read by some as "post whatever the mods will let you get away with".

IMHO what makes this site work is that the community has standards of civility which we all encourage others to follow. Coffee certainly tries to provide guidance and nudges, but in the end, if enough of us dont respect that community then the site will fail. Coffee and a handful of mods cant prevent chaos without using rather heavy handed tools. All of us together can set the tone for a place we actually want to return to every day.

thats what I meant. thanks. I did send him a PM saying i was sorry if I upset him even though I am not sure how I did.

I'm confuse too. Where did anyone say they did not want to hear this or this post is not wanted? Where did I step over the line. As I said I think there is more to this than this thread.

Back on topic, enough of this crap.

Can't we all just strongly dislike KTM and give praise to the other small manufacturers are cool and not bought out? Lol
This forum is going to get ugly when everything is released. Might as well start separate portions of the forum for bastard beemers. Make it so your log on restricts access or something lol. It's summer, only the bikless like myself should be posting anyway ;)

That was a good video! They do different sections as the knockout heats go along. I have seen a few videos on facebook of this years event, and because of rain, water was flowing through all the rock sections making it very hard.

Very harder. :D

Yay Cory and Brownie! (Yes I am rooting for Husky & KTM)
I read a few of the previous posts and frankly after a 15 hour day at Zipty, many of which on the new platform, my response is whatever. I don't care which team you root for, just don't tell me my Husky sucks. And if you are going to stay and be a part of this community, don't be a drama queen.

Got it Coffee, I'm out.

Kelly and Tinken can now jump for joy that there's getting to fewer who will challenge them on some of their hokey stuff.

I do not understand this. Coffee just clarified that your posts in the racing section are certainly within the suggested guidlines. What is the problem ????

Mckay uses sucker-punch tactics by posting antagonizing comments early in the threads. But when confronted he yellow spines out, crying victim, hoping to rally forum sympathy support. Kelly and I are usually left holding the bag, looking like forum bullies when all we are really here for is to help others. Even though I may be a public servant here in these forums, I tire of being walked-on and this type of drama is really getting old.

Motosportz and Tinkin, I find your post good. That guy earlier in the thread...if he wishes to be like that guy on the other site, let him go. Good Riddance to that mentality!

Id root for Brown if he was riding a Vespa. Old guys rule.

Most of us know who to go for when we want REAL later model Husky information, techniques, tips, parts, research, etc.
