• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

COMING SOON: SME Axle Sliders!!

Since I live in the Bay Area, I had the privilege of being the test mule for SME axle sliders :banana: Since Husky felt the need to change both front and rear dimensions, both took a little machining to get on, but they should be available soon! The front spacer is easy, the rear blocks took a little work from the 610 size, but Harry said he had some blocks that hadn't gone for anno yet, so if you want a set NAOW drop a line and he may be able to get some soonish. For now, you can just admire mine :cool:

can the rear sliders be used to lift the bike with a spool stand?

If so, tell Harry I'm in for a set with black blocks as soon as they're available!

Because then they need to come off every time you want to adjust the chain (to torque the axle).

I ordered mine for my 630 off Motostrano, they were for the 610 Husky,but they fit up fine and look trick too

I think hey just had to be machined down millimetres it was a little tight almost like it wouldn't go, but a couple light taps fit perfect so I say get the 610's SME sliders and you will be good to go.
 
They cut .020" off of the blocks. It would have taken a BFH to get them in (probably removing all the paint on the swingarm) and chain adjustments would be a bitch...
