• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Do it all, and do it in timeless style with the Concept Baja – where classic style meets modern innovation.

January 20, 2012 – New York, NY – The distinct retro flair of the golden age of motorcycling is one that only Husqvarna can genuinely embody. The Husky marque is the definitive emblem of an era, and one that continues to symbolize bold innovation, classic design and timeless passion. Husqvarna’s distinctive 1970′s vibe is revisited in the Concept Baja – where vintage meets technology, and legendary style is redefined.

Vintage allure isn’t all this trek-touring design has to offer; performance is what makes the Concept Baja truly exceptional. Ideal for the casual rider as well as the committed enthusiast, The Baja will continue the trek well after the pavement ends.

Husqvarna Concept Baja
  • 650cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine
  • Five-speed wide-ration transmission
  • Electronic fuel-injection
  • Brembo disc brakes
  • Perimeter frame with progressive linkage swingarm
  • Wheels: 19-inch front, 17-inch rear with intermediate-knobby tires
  • Innovative LED crossbar instrument display
  • Approachable seat height and layout suits wide spectrum of riders

Corey Graffunder may also be in attendance (still to be determined as his schedule permits) at this event to meet and greet all of you guys and gals.

It would be great to see a good turnout from all of our local CH Husqvarna Members ...

Maybe post up here if you have an interest in attending so that I can relay it on to Kris as the next week unfolds.

Thanks,

Not bashing...just joshing......Geez.....youd think I was on an orange bike forum with the thin skin. apologies if anyone was offended.....meant for us older crew who remember the 2 cycle news editions. But just a little venting on the gear which after 2 exchanges is still not adequate. Dealer did alll possible.just not in the cards I guess

Getting back to the event, I'm still trying to decide. Waiting for a few different phone calls.

Sorry Joe, just got so freaking sick of it on TT I don't even go there any more. Don't care to hear it here as it is just bashing and not productive. Legitimate issues should be directed at husky NA for and hope of real results.

Might make it. Have some company for the week but they will be in and out.

See if George is going and share a ride.
