As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
I'm doubting George is going.....
I will be there If you post Cory might be there Then just maybe he has a contract and we have some type of west coast team.
Sure would be nice to see a Zip Ty Team there I am sure we will find out on Friday
I can't either... I'll be out of town on business....was looking forward to meeting you. Can't go now.
The answer to your question is in bold. A geographically based group of people will indeed be more likely to show up to a event in a specific geographic location than a group spread all over the world. Especially when the event is for a few hours.I have a question This topic gets posted here a Husky sight that has viewers world wide.Since last thur Feb 15 there has been 447 look ups and 30 replies.
Then Ryan Sanders a guy I know who takes a lot of pictures for a company that works with Husky
on photo shots. Posts over at a local motorcycle sight Dist 37 that the bike will be on display at a local eatery for viewing
on Wenday Feb 22 that post got 898 views.Twice the amount on just a local motorcycle web sight
in a shorter time frame.Plus many people I know went to see the bike and are now going to see it again at the Corporate offices
People out here on the west coast want to see Husky return and are hungry for anything new about
Husky.I am not trying to start a east coast west coast thing I am just posting what I see
Now all we have to hope for is some news of a west coast Husky Race Team
I'm not so far away, and since the event got rescheduled I can probably make it. The new concept bike was already out at Cook Corner during the week. I couldn't make that event though.
