• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Corporate Husqvarna Event Rescheduled to Wednesday Feb 29th 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Shoot! This event collides with a prior commitment for the SDAR Desert Dash. I'm part of the crew hosting the event so I can't make it. Wish I could though.

Thread bump... a lot of views... anyone else thinking they will go... ?

Nice social event...low key...

Post up if you might go!

I'll be there at 7:30 right after Corona Pony baseball practice.

I will be there If you post Cory might be there Then just maybe he has a contract and we have some type of west coast team.

Event Rescheduled to Wednesday Feb 29 3:00 to 6:00 PM

Event rescheduled to Wednesday Feb 29th 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. ( updated per Tim/Corey Eastman today Tuesday 2/21/12) Husqvarna Corporate Offices Corona, California

371 Corporate Terrace Drive
Corona, California
92879

exit Mckinley (south) off of 91 Freeway

Speaking for myself, because of the distance I am from Corona, it would be easier to decide whether to go to this event if more details were known. At this point all I know is that it is a Corporate Event, and they will be introducing the new Baja Concept bike.

There is a long list of people I've been wanting to meet (HVNA staff, HVNA affiliates, certain press people), but I've no idea who might be there.

I dont have much of an excuse not to go, shoot last week I drove up to Corona to eat an In and Out burger with an old friend (Airoh rep) and get my CH skid plate from him, then drove back down to San Diego after stopping at Lake Elsinore MX (AMA Nat site for this year) to say hello to another guy (Italian team SX/MX vacations) who was there with some other euros playing on the tracks. The place really is looking good. Did a bunch of miles but got some good moto social time in as well. Thats what this thing is, a moto social thing.

Well, bumping it to a late afternoon meeting didn't make it any easier on me but I'm still going to try and attend.

I have a question This topic gets posted here a Husky sight that has viewers world wide.Since last thur Feb 15 there has been 447 look ups and 30 replies.

Then Ryan Sanders a guy I know who takes a lot of pictures for a company that works with Husky
on photo shots. Posts over at a local motorcycle sight Dist 37 that the bike will be on display at a local eatery for viewing
on Wenday Feb 22 that post got 898 views.Twice the amount on just a local motorcycle web sight
in a shorter time frame.Plus many people I know went to see the bike and are now going to see it again at the Corporate offices

People out here on the west coast want to see Husky return and are hungry for anything new about
Husky.I am not trying to start a east coast west coast thing I am just posting what I see

Now all we have to hope for is some news of a west coast Husky Race Team

Puts me out as well, no way can I get on the 91 parking lot to get there. Would have to leave OC at 1:30pm to get that far by 3:00pm

I'm not so far away, and since the event got rescheduled I can probably make it. The new concept bike was already out at Cook Corner during the week. I couldn't make that event though.

The answer to your question is in bold. A geographically based group of people will indeed be more likely to show up to a event in a specific geographic location than a group spread all over the world. Especially when the event is for a few hours.

Are talking The Cooks Corner at El Toro/Santiago Canyon and Live Oak? If I knew that I could have seen it. That is only about five miles from the house.

I am out... I did find out this event was publisized elsewhere and not just on cafehusky.

I highly encourage anyone who can make this event to attend.

My point was the fact that as a Husky sight. One would think everything that is news and is posted here would be looked at.I try to look at everything about Husky posted here be it local or some where else.
News about Husky corporate office having a meeting even if you could not attend would be something most Husky fans would at least click on to see what it is about.
Then I see it post on another non Husky only local sight and more people seem interested in seeing what is going on ,even tho they do not ride or own a Husky. Most who did look it up will not attend but they did look at it to see what might be new news comming out of Husky
