• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Cycle News Sucks! Meo waxes everyone and Cycle News pimps KTM and BMW.

There have also been flesh wounds, head injuries, and the odd torn ligaments, muscles and tendons, too

Dear Everyone,

Its nice to see real passion for the brand but I think you need to realize that the "articles" that appeared in Cycle News that has everyone worked up aren't really articles. They are just the press releases printed verbatim from the companies that sent them out. That is why you see such a difference in the emphasis of each "article". We(the U.S. marketing dept)wrote the one on Meo that everyone likes the best which means we did an OK job I guess. Don't put too much stock into whether or not Cycle News loves or hates us on this issue alone. You are merely reading the press releases from the manufacturer's which are biased by nature.

Scott, there's nothing I cherish more than firing up the Husky faithful!

Now stop HiJacking my threads... I have witches to burn!

BlipBlip :D

I agree, Aubert's dominance and the championship, even after switching to a new brand (a linkless KTM) and the BMW getting a class win are bigger news.
Next year and for years to come, you will be seeing many articles and headlines about Meo. He is an amazingly fast and consistant young rider, even with limited WEC experience. Every race, he has been improving, and he has many years that he will be on top. He will be a WEC champion, and seems to have the talent / discipline to be an overall winner at every round. If Husky can keep this talent, then Husky fans will have lots to rejoice about.
