• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I sort of backed off practice here after the first race a couple months back ... I'm just a trail rider, but Pepo Rubi has been employed again to modify this track here ... We're hoping to make it wider for side-by-side racing and make the jumps a little safer for riders like me ...

This weekend, I have been invited for a trail ride with about 7 other riders on Bohol Island so I might not get back over to the track till next week. We race here is in about 3 weeks and I think I can get some of my jumping skills back in that time frame...That is if my body can take the pounding ... I might actually tune on my suspension on my TC250 MX bikes? The 08 WR250 Husky will need oil added back to the forks as they are way too soft for jumping now ..

In any event, here's what the track is looking like now ...

The equipment - 2010 TC250 Husqvarna branded bike and what looks like a real Internationan Harvester frontend loader.

That lane on the left outside is gonna be cool I think ... It's long and safe I feel ... If you have ever ridden a track, you know the take-offs are very important and some jumps you can see over the lip of the jump and see the receiver when standing up on the pegs ... Other take-off ramps are too big to see over and you don't see the other side until you start up the take-off ramp. This one is the latter. The lane before that lane has another big jump on the back side and it drives down into a huge left hand berm and its all sandy with a short run-up to the take-off ramp that you can't see over ... The bermed corner is very wide and the jump face is very wide ... No excuses on this one.

This is the tail end of the lane where I'm parked and you can see it has another big berm.

Here's a little better look at that outside lane .. Those kids are on the takeOff ramp ... maybe I'll set up a camera and see myself and to get an idea of how lame I look jumping ...Maybe that will get me to jump a little higher ...
