• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Dealership Woes

Time to walk out the door and head for the B.B.B. to file a claim, then to the court house to file a small claims action.
The owner is not taking the correct action when they are at fault on this one.
They fried the unobtainium ECM.
They should be offering you the Tiger for invoice plus their normal. add-ons, tax & licence and offer you full wholesale book on your TR or better!!

My TR is from magic city cycles in orlando.... SCARY! It took two weeks to get my second key....shipped from Daytona to st pete....hope they make right for you.

Spoke to the GM in Orlando Magic City Cycles last night and supposed to find out the last offer this morning. It is almost afternoon but expect some time today he will call.

Well all is over as of yesterday picked up my new bike. Here is a quick picture as I needed to get back to my office. Will be working on the 1200 mile break in as quick as possible to see what the new 50 hp is like over the tr650. I will get a better picture this weekend.

I did the same thing traded the husky for tiger 800xc no regrets. I did do some mods ohlins front and rear and i dropped a tooth in the front sprocket. crashbars and skid plate and heated gripsP1000538.JPG

Yeah it was nice buying a bike with all of that sorted out already. The 2015 xcx comes bash plate, upgraded wp suspension, crash bars, 2 12v outlets, battery tender hook up and cruise lol. Going to change the seat to seat concepts and add a 20mm bar riser and all farkled out for me.

you are going to love that 800 motor but it can be a little to happy on the trail. a new front sprocket was only $20 and really helped with 1st and 2nd gear for the slower off road riding.

Yeah got past 300 miles last night and decided to open it up. Krider is spot on. The bike is very smooth to 10k rpm. I did not take it past there yet. It does 100mph like the terra at 60 mph. So far very happy with the change. Yes not as off road friendly but with new mitas tires it will do what is needed. I have tested the suspension and a foot or two off the ground soaks it up with no bottoming with the wp suspension.

It is a good site but not as much traffic as this site or might be the fact that the triumph tiger has been out longer and has less problems to fix.

Krider- What tires are you running in the picture? When these bridgestone tires wear out was thinking of going mitas e07 as they seem to be a lot like the metzler sahara tires on the terra but some thing different and I think a better front tire.

Rode a 2013 tiger 800xc demo today....nice power! The 2015 (xcx) is the ticket!
I salesman at St Pete powersport has a terra (was like new) theives gutted his dash and ignition. He said he had parts on order from magic in orlando.....wish him luck.

Yeah that is why I went with the xcx. Waiting on seat concepts to ship the new seat as the Triumph seat is way too soft for daily riding. I do not think the dealership has got the ecu for my old Terra yet either. Good luck trying to get those kind of parts quickly. If you can order from ktm parts . com you get the parts really quick.
