• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Didn't buy a Strada!

B Class
Went for a test ride on a Strada last Wednesday. They also had an ex-demo Nuda with 900 miles on it so I had a test ride on that too..............OOPS!

Should be getting it next week :)

Watch out for the service charges, long time to strip down! sorry didn't mean to dampen the excitement :o Fab bike other than that!

The pipes for BMW 800 Rotax motors work as well. Interestingly I have Arrow exhaust with the BMW Akro muffler on my F800R. The muffler you have looks way better.

A mechanic said that these new bikes are designer bikes and not made with the view that they are easy to service etc, kind of said it all really.
But I will persevere with the Strada!

"A mechanic said that these new bikes are designer bikes and not made with the view that they are easy to service etc, kind of said it all really"...Let me guess he rides a Matchless...lol
The Husky isn't that bad to work on compared to many, but the designer grew up reading Manga comics.

That's just one person's opinion. The same could be said of just about every motorcycle built in the past 15 years. It might be true if there is no functional reason for a particular design.

I want a Nuda, and MrsDonkeys knows it. We were talking locations for my next assignment, and Germany came up. I told her that I didn't want to take that assignment because she would have to give up her job to follow, and that the position didn't offer a lot of growth potential. She smiled and said "But I would really like to go back to Germany, and if we went you could buy a Nuda and potentially bring it back as a custom bike or a track bike."

She knows me too well.

My first choice would have been a Nuda too. I love my Strada, but still want something with a bit more oomph. Yamaha's new FZ-09 looks interesting...
