• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Don't Have a Problem with KTM's but....

Another problem I have with riding with Harley riders...

I can never seem to get out of 2nd gear! Just kidding.... JUUUUUUUST kidding... mostly.

Really Krieg? The Harley riders around me change all four of their gears crossing the intersection then cruise from there......j/k. Hey I did have one race me on my 04 Aprilia RSV 1000 Factory; it wasn't real good for him :D.

....But I'm not allowed to go with him when he rides with another Harley owner in our neighborhood. When I asked why, he told me our other neighbor thinks Aprilia's are for "fags".
You killed me Krieg! that has got to be the funniest thing I've heard this year

Tell him Max Biaggi and his crew are coming to kick his Harley riding @$$.....
Max and his crew would have their work cut out for them. This guy weighs about 400 lbs and his bike has a special-made seat to accommodate his 6 asses. I'm pretty sure if they just pranced around him in a circle with clenched fists, the guy would go into cardiac arrest within a few minutes.

I did the Harley thing too, then I moved on. Yeah, the Harley Davidson story is great, they've done a lot for motorcycling & racing to some degree. But I found just as much pleasure riding other makes & models that were more advance in design, like my Gold Wing & the sport bikes I played around with. But really the bottom line for me street & dirt, is just riding. That's why I am brand blind to an extent. Because, isn't it about riding... not what your riding.

I used to ride a Harley too (at the same time that I owned an FZR). Got tired of all the shaking going on.

I guess I had sort of dual personality (not to be confused with a dualsport personality:D).

The guys I ride with are 80% orange,it's a cult plan and simple. They do some special handshake thing at trail rides,I don't get it?

There many friends of mine that ride Harley's, they cant understand why I ride a BMW and think of my 610 as just a dirtbike. I put most of them in my category of "harley rider" and a very few of them make it into my category of "Motorcyclist".

This is my Harley

The only thing that I like about it is it looks and I cant under stand in this day and age why every thing goes still klunk on it, and as you can see I still the standard pipes on it because I hate the noise when they have after markets on them.
Last weekend I started to give my Husky the once over and it in my mates garage surrounded by 4 KTM, and lets just say, I wont be doing that again!!. Before that I was thinking of moving the Harley on and getting a Husaberg and after this weekend I dont think so, I think I'll go 511 just to stick it up'em again

Was just turning out of my drive when I saw a Harley passing by. I waited a bit and followed at a fairly fast pace. He got away from me on the straight, but I knew there was a twisty bit up ahead and he´d have to slow down. That´s where I caught him. He had a disgusted look on his face under the imitation US highway police open helmet. From then on it was neck and neck, but I was ahead when we got to the steep hill ... where I am ashamed to say that my lungs gave out and I just didn´t have the strength left in me to pedal any faster.

I'm not a KTM fan for the reasons expressed above. Their bikes have some features that are better than other brands, and vice versa. However, I will gladly admit that KTM is supporting off-road racing better than any other brand out there. And by a good margin.

It was extremely sad to see Husky let Antoine Meo go. I wish Husky/BMW would invest more in my sport, like KTM does. And it's mindboggling that they don't with BMW's deep pockets.

BWAHAHAHAHA thats funny stuff right there

I think Husky is growing for sure, there was only 3 of us until that last race of the 2011 season. This year, Huskys are everywhere****************************************! Wilmington powersports has a couple of sponsored riders, Robby Norwood rides as a support rider for FAR Husqvarna.

I don't get the KTM cult either, but I guess that is why I ride a Husky. I like being different!

Lots of this is human nature maybe ... If these orange peelers are really aholes, they most likely were like that before they got the bikes ... Now, with that in mind, maybe aholes are drawn to the color orange? Maybe the color orange amplifies an aholes', ahole behavior? Sort of like red to a bull in the arena ... Maybe the color orange should be removed from the color spectrum in an effort to curb ahole behavior? We'll need more research but once an ahole, it takes a big man to change his ahole ways ...

As far as ahole dealers? Just don't give them your $$ ...

Probably true here ... I don't see why more money is spent on riders also ... bmw can hire anyone ... RV1, RD5, cr22 ... anyone ... Just go talk to cr22 ... He's not got alot of luv left for the JAP companies (except the one that is currently paying him something) ... Give that Mandi girl a bike ... Promote your product please!
