• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

piston for the 99-00 model????? wow i hope not
oh yeah, i am pretty sure this is why i am doing a rebuild. Did you by chance see the ring on the piston where it folded over the ring and indented the piston? I have lots of fun ahead!!

just take a look at the crankcase cover above. Tat should tell you about how great of a patch job they done.

Looking for a used clutch cover. Does anyone have spare parts laying around that would like to put them to good use?

This is my heated workshop! Don't hate!!
You must be single. In my house, there's so much house shit that a bunch of it is stored in the garage, and I have to move the bikes out of the garage to have space to work on anything. Working on my bikes in a carpeted room would not be tolerated (even if there were space)...

Long story short, I'm a bit jealous of your setup....

rebuilt my 85 240 in 86 in the spare room...was some drama when coolant spilt from the keg when I lifted it up... we polished the floors later so no stress:thumbsup:

I am single but most of all the dirty work was done outside. I Just use my spare bedroom to store my newly painted and powder coated parts. I will probably ...lol ... assemble the bike back in my kitchen. and roll it out the front door and put oil in it and break it in..... then it will be on. Brap Brap

I really need a workshop****************************************! I am looking forward to moving next year. I have been at this house for 11 years. time to make some money from it and move on. Hopefully the next house will have a garage and a separate workshop.
