    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Hey folks,

I met a fellow Tr650 owner (and Cafe Husky member) up at Eurosport today for a parts swap and John told me that they had three new 2014 Tr650s that just came in. Apparently these bikes are not spoken for and are up for grabs.

If you want stellar service from knowledgable folks who will treat you right before, during and after the sale you might give Eurosport in Asheville a try. John, Justin, and the rest of the gang over there are outstanding individuals--absolutely the best motorcycle dealership I have dealt with in my 12 years of riding.

I know there are folks trying to put their hands on this bike, so here ya go!
 
All of the '13 bikes that got caught in the customs snafu were rebranded '14 and sent back through...they are in transit to the dealers and it sounds like they will all have the $1000 rebate on them...not positive on that last bit.
 
get them while you can! I was talking to my dealer yesterday and he said KTM is going to kill the model.

Many thanks for your email of the 14th of June regarding future plans of production of the TR650 Terra. The mentioned bike is still on sale to the Husqvarna dealers until stocks last. The short term strategy will be focused on the Motocross and Enduro range, two and four stroke, with no further production of the street models, which were developed with BMW technology. Husqvarna will soon come back on tarmac with a new, exciting, Supermoto bike which will be introduced in about one year. The full spare parts and customer service for all model years, including 2013 bikes, are fully guaranteed in all Husqvarna factory dealers worldwide.

Thanks for posting this. It sounds credible.
And it's a shame because, IMHO, the TR650 is an excellent machine that had a chance to dominate the dual sport market.
 
it not only sounds credible...it puts an official twang on what we all knew or suspected we knew all along.

The BMW based motors would no longer wear Husqvarna livery.

The good part is that there will be some clean sheet designs.
I hope by saying "no further production of the street models"... that they're not saying there won't be a factory street legal enduro or three in the new mix.
I'd like to see the TE series get new life. My TE 610 was very very good...the TE 630 was even better.

As good as the TR is, I come from a more dirt biased background and depending on what's in the works - I could see selling the Terra and being a guinea pig for a new Husqvarna with serious offroad DNA.
 
Toytech in Grantville PA just got 4 2014 Terra's in, one already gone. Also has 2 Strada's on the floor as well if anyone looking......
 
The bikes Eurosports has are 2013's. I bought one last week and will get it tomorrow. I bought mine from Nate Jennings and have to say I agree the whole experience is what I was looking for. He went out of his way to make sure it was perfect including shipping to my office tomorrow. The shipping was one of the lowest in the country and the time frame was very quick. LEt you know how the shipper is tomorrow if any one wants to know. There is 120 bikes sitting at customs because the owner of KTM and BMW can not settle over who is paying the taxes and fees for the bikes. When I was hunting down my bike I ended up talking to the corporate Husqvarna in California because my local dealer was a joke on follow through. If any one still wants one Eurosports has 1 left I think and For the money where ever I lived in the US I would just buy from them when the new ones comes in. Nate has also invited me to some experienced riders courses and to ride the back roads of Virginia. Worth the experience in my book to get a straight answer and then every thing happens as planned.

How is the service department at Toy Tech? I have ordered parts from them and Scott was very helpful. They are a bit further than the dealer I purchased from, but Toytech seems to be far more Husky centric.
 
Scott is super great to work with. Great prices. Part availability good and he keeps a large stock of stuff on hand. He bulked up a bit on parts inventory during the BMW/KTM transition which to me shows he cares about his customers. All the ysell are Husky's, have a moss tool. Just can't say enough good things about them.

My dealings with them has always been very positive, seems like a good crew.
